Everyone knows how hard it can be as a brand coordinator or organiser to promote their newest collection and get it in front of the eyes of the fashion community, but with these five steps, you can ensure your show will not only be successful but also memorable.

1.Venue

The first step in organising your star runway show is to carefully select a venue that will complement your collection and vision.

A venue can be as small as an apartment or big as an entire ballroom, but it’s important as an organiser to understand what will help radiate your collection and brand in a positive light. For starters, try seeking local venues that may have a history of hosting these kinds of events, but if the search falls through, don’t be afraid to turn to the internet.

2. Models

Now it’s time to curate and cast models to bring your collection to life. It’s important to remember that these models will affect the impact of the line. Try going after models who will stand out on the runway and will create a memorable significance on a piece of clothing.

Being able to establish a notable connection between a model and item of clothing is a sign of success, so going after unique or eye-catching models are a great way to give your show a flair. Additionally, be sure to start searching for models as soon as possible! Sometimes booking models can be a lengthy process, so being ahead of the curve will lead to a better chance of securing high-quality talent.

3. Clothes

The clothing selection from your line that you want to exhibit is seemingly the most important aspect of the event. Essentially, this is the content you’re portraying to the world, so be sure to put some thought into what you want from the collection to be displayed on the runway. 

4. Ambience

Establishing an atmosphere and selecting a theme go hand in hand with making a fashion show an “experience.” Depending on your theme, take consideration when looking into things like music selection, lighting, stage production, audience seating, and overall feel of the venue.

If you’re looking to debut a summer collection, for example, upbeat music, warm lighting and flower decor would serve as great additions to make the show feel more holistic. Get creative! This is your chance to alter how you want the show to be perceived, so feel free to experiment with ideas and brainstorm unique experiences that you think your audience may enjoy.

5. Marketing & PR

Once you have all the details of the show together, you have to start promoting. Entering social spaces with specifics and maybe colourful images are extremely effective tactics to start getting your brand name and theme out to the industry. 

To host your show’s information or to even sell tickets, create event pages are extremely helpful for attendees looking to learn more, RSVP, and share the event with their friends. 

Creating other marketing strategies are great ideas as well. If your budget allows, flooding the streets with promotional posters or even billboards are great ways of getting your show and message in front of the eyes of so many people.
